I wish I had had this parental control software program 10 years ago when my son was spending more time in front of the computer than I would have liked - I was always trying to find ways to limit his time in front of the computer screen.
Installing Win Nanny takes less than a minute. Once installed a message board appears on the screen with a pictogram of a lock where the user can create different accounts with specific allocated time slots for each. Once this is done if a user enters his password to access in a time period which isn’t his own then the program will block or refuse them access. The same is true if the allocated time period has expired.
If your child considers himself a genius he will try to reboot and re-enter through a different session but unless he has access to the program administrator’s password he’ll have to abandon his efforts.
It’s probably the easiest program I have had to install in recent years and the user manual is very simple and brief only one page. You may download a trial version on www.winnanny.net.
